Wii U Gets A New Exclusive Horror Game Even As Nintendo Prepares To Close Its Eshop

Nintendo is closing its Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops but that’s not stopping one indie developer.

“Silver Falls – White Inside Its Umbra” will be released later this year for the platform.

It was first announced by Sungrand Studios last year, and the horror game is based around the premise of other Silver Fall games, that is, a small mountain town plagued by “decades of UFO activity”.

You use your Wiimote to navigate and as a flashlight – ala the camera in Fatal Frame.

The Wii Balance Board can also be used as an optional controller.

The game will not be available as a physical copy, but will be an eShop exclusive in PAL regions (that includes Indonesia and Malaysia).

Other Silver Falls titles are already available on other platforms like the Nintendo Switch and 3DS.

This will likely be the last Wii U game released for the Wii U – Nintendo said it will close its Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops by next March, marking the end of an era for many.

The Wii U was unveiled as a successor to the Wii, and was released in 2012.

It wasn’t the most popular console Nintendo ever came up with and production ended just five years later.

Despite that, the Wii U remained quite popular with developers from smaller studios and those interested in indie games.

Nintendo eventually went on to launch the Nintendo Switch, which has since become the developer’s top-selling product
