Bringing K-Content To 122 Million Overseas Viewers: TechStorm, Southeast Asia’s Largest Esports Media Channel, Enters Korea

TechStorm, the largest and fastest-growing esports media platform in Southeast Asia TechStorm, the largest and fastest-growing esports media platform in Southeast Asia, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Serin Co., Ltd to provide joint broadcasting services.

TechStorm has reached a multi-territory footprint community of 122 million esports, gaming and tech enthusiasts in Asia, and is currently distributed across 71 million mobile OTT subscribers and over 15 million subscriber households.

With this agreement, Serin will provide quality K-content through TechStorm’s platform and overseas broadcasting services, and as a domestic business partner of TechStorm, will comprehensively conduct various business and promotional activities.

As the first step of the bilateral agreement, TechStorm and Serin will broadcast a special all-day program, ‘All That KOREA’, every Saturday, to offer overseas viewers a variety of K-content, including K-pop.

The two companies have also agreed to promote esports competitions featuring Korean and Asian celebrities throughout the year. 

Park Seo-il, Head of Content Business at Serin, TechStorm domestic business partner, said, “This agreement with TechStorm, the largest esports media platform channel in Southeast Asia, is a great opportunity to explore the expansion of another overseas market through the convergence of esports and K-content, and we plan to actively promote global cooperation with domestic esports companies.”

In particular, as the person-in-charge of planning the broadcast of K-content “All That KOREA”, which targets more than 100 million overseas viewers, he expressed his expectation that this collaboration will   provide an efficient way to enter the overseas market, for both domestic agencies and K-content production companies as well as export companies looking to break into the the wider Asian market.  

Serin Co., Ltd. is also promoting the establishment of an international K-pop high school in Singapore, the firstofitskind in Korea, through its cooperation withSeoul Performing Arts High School (SOPA) – which has produced numerous idols and is known as the K-pop military academy.

TechStorm is widely distributed across 117 premium partner platforms in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand.
